Austenitic Stainless Steel Pipe/Tube

Austenitic stainless steel has austenite as its primary phase at both elevated and room temperature. A stable austenite contains about 18% Cr, 8%-10% Ni and about 0.1% C. Cr-Ni austenitic stainless steel includes the most familiar stainless steel 18Cr-8Ni and the series of high Cr-Ni steel developed by increasing Cr and Ni content and adding elements such as Mo, Cu, Si, Nb, Ti, etc. Austenitic stainless steel is characterized by non-magnetic, high plasticity and ductility but lower strength. It can be only strengthened via cold working (by adding S, Ca, Se, Te and etc., austenitic stainless steel can have excellent machinability).

(Super) Austenitic Stainless Steel Pipe/Tube

Super austenitic stainless steel is defined as Cr-Ni stainless steel with a Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number (PREN=[Cr]+3.3[Mo]+16[N])≥40%. Super austenitic stainless steel is mainly developed to solve the deficiency of pitting corrosion resistance, crack corrosion resistance and poor thermal stability of the original high molybdenum (>4%) Cr-Ni austenitic stainless steel under the harsh corrosion conditions containing Cl-.

(Super) Duplex Stainless Steel Pipe/Tube

Duplex stainless steel (DSS) is featured with structure of two phases (α and γ) and has characteristics of both ferritic and austenitic stainless steel. It has best corrosion resistance and high strength. In general, when the content of C is low, the content of Cr and Ni ranges from 18% to 28% and 3% to 10% respectively. Some steels also contain the alloy elements such as Mo, Cu, Nb, Ti and N, etc.
